I downloaded the new launcher after the release this morning, not the pre-release. This is what comes up. I'm running on a MacOSX Leopard 10.5.8 and no I can't update it any higher.

Do I have to replace my old minecraft files/folder? Please tell me what I NEEd to do, not what you THINK I should do. This isn't my pc, it's messed up enough and I can't afford to mess it up further, my dad would kill me. Thus why I need an actual solution, not suggestion. Please only post if you know how to fix it. And thank you for understanding.
KrystalS, we're having the same problem (Mac Pro, also running OS 10.5.8), so it's not something YOU did. Unfortunately, I do not know the solution. Hopefully, the fact that you're not alone and that we're running the same OS will provide more info so someone can help us both.
I have the same problem, except I'm running Windows 7. :/

My problem is that I've heard I may have to have 10.6 and that's not an option for me. This mac refuses to update...
