I just got 1.6 today and I tried to right click. It didn't work! So I went to options, changed to Right Click/ Place item to U.
Now I can't get it to go back to Button 2. Only Button 1.
I'm on a Macbook, and yes, control click is enhabled.
Minecraft updated LWJGL (Java game library) to a version that doesn't interpret Mac Control-click as right-click anymore. Mojang says this is up to the LWJGL team to fix. Feel free to upvote on the bug thread to tell Mojang this affects more people than they realize.
Anyway, as to how you can still play with LWJGL doing this: Umm, dunno, I gave up on playing when this change came in snapshots (downgrading Minecraft doesn't solve the problem because you'll still have the new LWJGL on your system; I know nothing about downgrading LWJGL). Some people have reported getting used to using some other key for the place-block / use-tool command. I never did.
I haven't played in a week, and come back to this crap?! This is messed up. I have a mac and I've played since EARLY alpha. This is ridiculous for them to change our right click set up.

FYI, here's where I reported it to the LWJGL team: https://github.com/L...lwjgl/issues/37
