I downloaded mc 1.6 like 5 min ago and I try to log in on both of my accounts and neither of them worked. I tried the passwords I tried on the update thing and worked on old minecraft but not the new one any suggestions?

Same here. Just wait please. The server is probably filled with login requests so wait for it.

Yea happend to me but it evantully worked i think you cant press Enter any more or it will count it has a letter.

The Mojang servers are crashing hard. Even their site is unresponsive.

This also happend to me! My username and password are not working, do I need to make a new account?

This is the awenser To All your Problems. If you ever used to use enter to start the launcher dont use it anymore. And It will evenetually work. It happened to me but i got it to work just keep typing it in.

This happened to me to! SO ANNOYING! So does this mean that the launcher isn't all the way complete? I try to login and it says, "Forgot you password? Please visit mojang.com for free cookies, coffee, and an ice cream truck blah blah blah!" I retype my password, it STILL says no, so I visit minecraft.net to change my password. I change it, use it again, and IT DOES IT AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!! AGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I-( WHY?! Someone at mojang, if you can read this, please fix this so we can all play on 1.6 because right now, I'm stuck on 1.5, so PLEASE HELP US (and please DO give us the free cookies, coffee, and ice cream truck! :D) PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got the same problem. They are rolling out the 1.6 release so the servers will be being worked on. and updated etc etc

Hey, this also happend to me, you just need to wait a bit, then your account will work, trust me. Hopefuly you read this before you make a new account.
