Hello, I have been having troubles with my framerate on Minecraft. About 10 FPS, and I'm lagging a ton.
My computer is an HP Pavilion g6, with 6.00 GB of RAM on it. I have Optifine, Game booster, and Magic launcher. With magic launcher I've tried adding more RAM to Minecraft. And I've tried the task manager priority, Nothing.
I do not know how to fix this annoying lag. My framerate sometimes randomly goes up to 32, drops to like 10 ( 10 range is what it's at mostly. ) Then goes back to 7, and sometimes even below that.
My computer is not that old, about 2 years old. I don't think I should be lagging with all that I've tried.
Computer Has Only 4 CPU Processors for Minecraft, and IntelĀ® HD Graphics. On my model type it says its a Notebook PC. This makes me think this isn't for gaming. But I would like to try to fix it,
Am I doing something wrong? Is it just my computer?
If there's a simple fix please tell me about it. Thank you.
Here's a few screenshot links to show my random low FPS changing -
I don't know too much about computers, but doesn't a graphics card have something to do with this also? I have a dumb laptop with no graphics card, and the best I can play minecraft at around 20-30fps is at tiny, with optifine. This is because I do not have a graphics card. Also, did you try tuning down the render distance?

Unless you upgrade, you cannot just turn any old computer into a "gaming PC." There are however a few things you can do. Disable unneeded applications that start with your PC and run in the background, although game booster *should* close those when you run it. Try updating Java, that can also help. If you have a 64 bit system, get 64 bit Java (and 32 bit if you fancy, just make sure you have the latest 64 bit) Posting your full computer specs will also help others to get you help quicker. What Intel HD Graphics does it have? I have a friend that runs fine on 4000 HD Graphics, so it most likely your processor. If it's a notebook PC (laptop), there's really not much you can do.
Thank you, It looks like It's just my computer. But I will try to update Java right now.

Yeah, I do have it On Short +32, And my FPS stays the same. Ill try updating Java first then messing with the video settings.
Wow, lol. Thank you so much guys. I am now getting about 50-60 FPS. Minecraft is so smooth now. I bet updating Java really helped, along with all these other tips.
Wait, can you please explain to me how to make a bat? Is it just like the bukkit method? Where you make a notepad file and paste that in and name it run.bat? But where do I put that for a vanilla client?

First off You need to open notepad. Copy what you typed. Or how many GB Of RAM you have. Then when you are done, you go to "Save as" By Save, and Name it whatever you want, and type ".bat" after the name. So it would be something like this...
"Minecraft.bat" Then click save to desktop. Make sure Minecraft.exe is on your desktop, or this will not work. The file should look like two small gears on the file. If you did it right. Then click on the batch file, It should start Minecraft. Mods will work. So don't worry about crashing.

Alright, so I tried that, and it was not working at the 4 or the 2. So I tried 1024. and that one worked. and tbh, that is just the same as just launching minecraft normally for me. My laptop has 4gb ram, idk why only the 1024 works. Is it basically just the laptop then? As in I just need to get a different, better computer haha? I got it in like 2010 and it's pretty bad lol.
But yeah, thanks. I didn't know a method like this existed!
