Hello, this is a brand new problem that has never happened with my minecraft before.
All of a sudden, minecraft does not open at all when I start the exe (even as administrator). No error message pops up, no logs are recorded, just nothing at all happens when I attempt to open it.
I tried updating my java and flash player, still no luck. After multiple attempts, I decided to uninstall the game after saving my worlds, and downloading a fresh .exe file from minecraft.net
Can you remove all versions of Java found on the machine, via the control panel? After that, reboot the computer and grab the latest here, http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp
