I am running Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, Intel® Pentium(R) D CPU 3.00GHz × 2,Gallium 0.4 on ATI RV515, 32-bit.
Currently the only way I can get Minecraft to run is through a portable java installed on a flash drive. I have gone through the Terminal and have the most recent Java version installed. However, when I try to run Minecraft through the JRE installed on my computer, it just black screens. I need help getting Minecraft to run through my computer, not the flash drive.
On another note: While I am playing, minecraft will freeze up and I get a error report as follows:
#
# A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment:
#
# EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xc0000005) at pc=0x7d3cc0d8, pid=66, tid=62
