I have completely uninstalled minecraft deleted everything but my save file then redownloaded everything so that it is completely brand new and up to date. mobs will spawn when I make a new world but will not spawn on my save at all no error freeze or lag simply mobs will not spawn on this particular save.
Ok i tried the new chuncks and saw a few passive mobs cows sheep and chickens I am now using 1.6 and have not seen any mobs at all passive or aggressive.
