First off I do know how to play minecraft, my problem comes whenever I switch from creative to survival mode. In survival mode I am unable to destroy any blocks by hand. Creative mode however is completely fine. I have tried playing a new world and in old worlds, as well as downloading a completely new minecraft. it also doesn't work on the 1.6 pre releases version. I'm running Mac OSX lion with minecraft version 1.5.2. Any help would be much appreciated.

2 = adventure
