So it was a normal day. I tried to get onto Minecraft but when I hit play it said, "Fatal error occured (4): null." I was confused so I tried to play offline. It said "Not downloaded" where "Play offline" should be. I checked to see if anything was unusual with my .Minecraft folder. It was empty except for the bin and last login. I looked in the bin and it had two things in it. These were md5s and version. I tried to re-download Minecraft.exe but it was the same. I deleted .Minecraft and force updated the game to get a new folder but it looked the same. What do I do? I can't even play on the Minecraft.net website.

{Note}
I do not care that I deleted my saved worlds by deleting the .Minecraft folder. I can always create new worlds.

I use 64 bit java, K9 web protection and AVG anti virus protection installed, I've tried allowing Minecraft.exe for AVG, Minecraft worked for about 3 months after I got K9 and AVG then stopped working, blackscreens happen when I say no to updating Minecraft, this all started when I force updated my old MinecraftSp.

That might explain the cause. You’re using a cracked launcher, and from my experience, it doesn’t work. I would say “go buy the game”, but I’m nice.

No no no. I do have the full game. I bought it last Winter. This started happening when I tried to force update my MinecraftSp because it said it was version 16.5 for some reason.

You have to get the new launcher

Does this mean buying the game again or does it mean delete Minecraft and re-download it?
