OK, ok I know the forums may have many more important problems, but to me this is important. 1 week ago I got a new computer (Hp Envy 23 TOuchsmart all-in-one), it is meant to be able to play minecraft like a boss.....which it did. However when then got a new router, which is a Netgear80, a quite high quality router. However now I can join minecraft servers, but no body moves and it later d/c mes. Ive tried to reinstall minecraft, but it dosen't help. I need my servers to work as Im recording for my channel, which is slowing getting to be a good channel (view and subscriber wise) however if I can't get onto the severs my channel will lose its glory.....Servers ive tried to log onto include: Mc-hg, Mc-sabotage, Omegarealm, griefball and even my own server (which I can't access any more). My old computer nestled in the corner on my bedroom can run all these servers, but isnt as good as m new desktop. Ive noticed however I could play minecraft servers before the new router was installed. If you need any more details such as specs, comment in the forum posts below (it will help a lot).

I'm not aware of any particular reason why you should have trouble with this.
But here are a couple of ideas.
Check for a firmware update for your router. Occasionally routers suffer from a 'packet of death', a bug in them where certain network traffic causes them to crash/fail/do the wrong thing.
Check your router configuration for any kind of network packet filtering that may be doing this. It might be something like 'content filtering', 'security scan', 'antivirus', etc. I wasn't able to figure out which netgear you were talking about or I might have been able to be more specific.
well heres the problem, I dont think there its a virus in the router (which ill provide more info about) and thst ip crazy dosen't work. As well as this my old laptop's minecraft servers stlll works, and mine did before the router was installed.
How good is the connection to your router? When Minecraft servers stop updating (players moving, etc.), it is generally because you lost a connection to the server. It is likely you are loosing Internet. Do you have this problem outside of Minecraft? If so, try updating your wireless drivers, updating your router's firmware, or flashing a completely different firmware like DD-WRT to your router. Good luck!
Hmmm Well about the router ill need to find its exact type tonight, as I dont have much time......Last day of school XD but anyway all I know it has a range of 150 metres if this helps.10.0.0.1 dosent work and can you please to the noob (--->me<---) how to do all that you ask?
Ok guys this may be bumping (but I would have to start a new topic if its not), but anyway the computer was restored but it still dosent work. As well as this when swapped to the old router it still didn't work. Please help me as I like thiscomputer but mum thinks its got some contagious disease (lol) and must be refunded, as it had problems before.
