Hey guys, Alex here. I have been wondering if anyone can help me with an issue I'm having with the latest versions of Minecraft. I have already posted something like this before, but nobody helped, probably because it wasn't specific enough. But anyways, ever since the new laucher has become necessary, and after every update of it, my world reverts back to sometime during April, before most of my really important work on my projects had been done. I was able to get around it by changing the folder the minecraft.exe folder was contained in. I know, but it gets weirder. Then the 1.6 pre-release came out, and ever since then I have failed to find a way to overcome the reversion process my worlds do. Now, luckily, I've found that all hope is not lost-- I used Cartograph G after it reverted, and it actually showed the world with all my important work up to the previous day, before I updated it, yet it only lets me play the version of the world during April. If you don't know what I mean, before I updated, it let me play in the world that was changed last during mid-June, but after the update, only lets me play the version of my world that was changed last sometime during April, yet external programs show that my world hasn't reverted at all! Got it? Okay! This has happened since every new laucher update happened, but this is the only one I've never been able to get around. Hopefully someone will be able to answer my question here after I tried searching everywhere with no hope. Thanks a lot for any and every help! Alex.
BTW, you can see the Mojira bug report I made a few days ago here if you want more info.
I don't know what to say.... Minecraft saves worlds to disk.
I know but it's accessing them weirdly. It even does it on other computers, too. It must have to do with the launcher or Minecraft itself. Has this been happening to anyone else?
