So I was using the latest 1.6 launcher, downloaded from Mojang to try the latest snapshot and think the launcher has been comprimised.
I was happily playing, decided to quit much later on but remembered there was a screen shot I wanted to take, so I opened up the launcher again. Only this time when I did, I got this:
Now I never changed the language, I've no reason to, not even accidently. I clicked on the language option and one of the options I did recognise so I could get back to English UK, but everytime I clicked on it I still got this:
No matter what I do. Suffice to say I won't be using the launcher again until it's cleared up. I'm worried that the login details have been comprimised as a result as this is a MAJOR problem.
Java: latest version
Specs: AMD Phenom x4 955 Processor
4 gig ram
Window 7
64 bit oprating system
It just seemed a little wierd it did this all of a sudden when it was perfectly fine before hand whilst playing.
NINJA EDIT:
From where did you derrive a security breach?
Given how sudden it came on, and how new and in progress this launcher is, it is natural to be worried that something had been comprimised when you game suddenly goes into a foreign language for no reason.
What happens if you go into the game?
Sorted now, but I didn't dare try.
Also, does anything like this happen on the old launcher?
It never happened on the previous launchers.
Disable any HD resource packs (anything that's not 16x16) before closing Minecraft. If you start the game with an HD resource pack enabled, you will get the issue you reported.
