So I downloaded the new Minecraft Launcher,It opened it fine I logged in and then launched Minecraft to experience the 1.6 Pre-release, but it wouldn't launch, it just opened up and then it crashed. The Development Console came up with this:
Client> at java.lang.ClassLoader$NativeLibrary.load(Native Method) Client> at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadLibrary0(ClassLoader.java:1878) Client> at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadLibrary(ClassLoader.java:1795) Client> at java.lang.Runtime.loadLibrary0(Runtime.java:823) Client> at java.lang.System.loadLibrary(System.java:1045) Client> at org.lwjgl.Sys$1.run(Sys.java:73) Client> at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method) Client> at org.lwjgl.Sys.doLoadLibrary(Sys.java:66) Client> at org.lwjgl.Sys.loadLibrary(Sys.java:95) Client> at org.lwjgl.Sys.<clinit>(Sys.java:112) Client> at atm.F(SourceFile:1851) Client> at net.minecraft.client.main.Main.main(SourceFile:37) Game ended with bad state (exit code 1) Deleting /Users/felicitys_journey/Library/Application Support/minecraft/versions/1.6/1.6-natives-1372227538053998000
By the way i'm running on a laptop (mac)
Please help me I don't want to stuck in 1.5 forever.
Get at Minecraft's locally stored files on the Mac. In the Finder, from the Go menu, select Home. Then open Library, Application Support. The folder you want is "minecraft". I want you to delete everything from that folder, then run the launcher again. You should backup the saves folder if you want to keep your worlds.
If your Library folder in your home directory is hidden, run the following command in Terminal to reveal it:

I did that. The development console came up with the exact code, and you guess it, it didn't work.

It's not my computer, it's something to do with the buggy launcher, what's wrong with the old one?
Can't play the new update until they fix this now...
