So, yeah, I was having some minecraft troubles and a video said to delete my bin file, and yeah I did that without thinking about how I could get it back. So now minecraft is not working. When I try to login it says cannot connect to minecraft.net and then I don't have the option to play offline (it says "not downloaded").
So I'm assuming the issue is form deleting my bin (honestly I'm not concerned about the problems I was having before.)
So if anyone could help me to restore it, or give me a download link to a 1.5.2 bin file that would be great.
P.S. I have tried redownloading minecraft and it redownloads WIthout the bin file!!! ??
Can't connect to minecraft.net is not a bin/folder issue, it's just an connection issue to the Minecraft servers and/or you're typing your login wrong. Make sure the issue is not one of the two.
1.6 will be out very shortly, maybe less than a week. When it comes out, you'll have to download the new launcher. You should get your Minecraft bin back.

Stop playing cracked Minecraft and actually pay for it. Then you can re-download all the missing bin files.

You just downloaded the launcher. Once you log in with a valid, paid username and password, it should check the files and download any that are missing. Stop being a pirate and buy the game, then you'll be able to play it.

If you insist on restoring your cracked version, you can right-click the ".minecraft" folder, select "Properties," click the "Previous Versions" tab, and select one with a date from before you deleted the bin folder to restore from.
The problems he's having can happen on a perfectly legitimate minecraft launcher if there's no connection to the internet or the servers are down.
True, but his story rang to me of cracked, so I responded as such. If perchance it's not cracked, he should be back in business just by entering a valid name and password (and maybe choosing "force update," if it can't tell automatically that it's missing files,) so no harm no foul.
