I've run Minecraft on this computer before, but I uninstalled it to deal with some hard drive issues. Now that all of that's resolved, I reinstalled Minecraft and upon launching I got the "Failed to write core dump" error log (let me know if I need to post it).
From what I read on another thread, I need to post my DxDiag and then some tech guru will link me to a magical website which resolves my problems, makes me a millionaire, and establishes world peace (although that may have been a slight exaggeration).
Without further adieu, here is my DxDiag, and now I patiently await my techie in shining armor to rescue me.
Mr. Cestislife, I would like to grant you the title of third greatest man who ever lived. (You're only behind Morgan Freeman and Robert Downey Jr.)
I don't know what I was doing wrong. Clearly I had the wrong version of Java installed. Thank you sir, for resolving my issues, curing cancer, and ending starvation (although those last couple may have been a slight exaggeration).
Right-o and pip-pip,
Thanks again, friend,
Ben.
