Works fine on windows 8, I even tried it on a surface and it worked fine. To install java, simply go to java's download page and click the download button to install, nothing hard about it.
Should be, The problem might be with setting up Java though
What area of your ass did you pull that from? Win 8 is fully supported by Oracle. People tend to forget that Win 8 is a full fledged operating system, its not in beta or anything.
Works fine , recently had to buy new laptop unfortunately with Windows 8
Had some incompatibility issue with software , witch been using in Windows 7 but Minecraft works really good .
Unfortunately? Win 8 is newer, faster, and more optimized. If your only beef with it is Metro and the lack of a start button, there are 3rd party programs that exist to fix these issues.

Java is pain on mac and it is still being developed and improved and a new OS is never good at launch as has many problems

I don't even use Win 8 so I can't really be that much of a fanboy. I just realize all the benefits it brings. If you could tell me what's wrong with it, that'd be great.
I've never owned a mac so I can't comment on that, but where'd you get this idea that OS have "many problems and are never good" at launch? Also, Windows 8 is nearly 8 months old so its not exactly "new".

with a few reviews, and feedbacks, windows 8 is bad for gaming. I also recommened getitng a desktop pc, because laptops heat up, and make it windows 7, if your thinking about editing, ect. get windows 7 ultimate.

False, out of all the Win 7 vs Win 8 benchmarks I've seen, Win 8 outperforms Win 7 significantly.

Honestly idc about performance of windows 8, they can easily service pack 7 and make it just as good. But I will never use windows 8 on a PC ever. It is a tablet OS and honestly is not suited for a mouse/keyboard setup. It is great for devices like the surface that have the touch capabilities, but the fact that they are making it another OS for towers and laptops is stupid. And I am obviously not the only one who thinks this, check the sales of win 8 compared to 7. The only reason win 8 has anything on towers/laptops is because people buy it preinstalled and they dont want to spend money on the win 7 OS/to inexperienced to do so.
Anyways this is way off topic, and yes minecraft will work fine on 8.
The "lock" and "shut down" are places two different places and one is more inconvenient placed than the other. That more annoying than you would think.
Although the worst part about W8 is the application feature which has replaced the Start button. This is not better alt all. It's a bad solution for computers. My laptop feels like a giant Android phone.
I'm not 100% sure what you're talking about in your first point but I recall a way to change it, but I don't remember exactly how. As for the start button, try Start8.

Too true. It is the problem. I recommend Classic Shell It is free and offers more features, Like a better Explorer, Heck it is great for anybody on Vista or Windows 7 as well

Stardock is good and everything. But I would recommend the program said above by me .
In Conclusion, Windows 8 is a huge controversial to the Windows OS family. People are enjoying. People are hating it and switching to Linux. People are having problems with Minecraft and a whole bunch of other programs.
It is a matter of opinion. Thinking it is bad for Minecraft, Switch.
Not that I wanted 8 on my new laptop but it does run Minecraft (sadly pretty well).
The Metro interface is horrible though, at the end of the summer MS has promised the first service pack and they say they will take out the metro and add a start like bar.
And by the way a touch screen capable laptop is pretty awesome.
Two years ago, I upgraded my Sony OS from Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 8 Starter. But Minecraft rarely works with Windows 8. Unfortunately, it didn't work.

Ruining the PC as an open platform and maybe the mobile integration.
Not all are good at launch because developers need to update etc.
But just look at Vista.

Make sure Java 7 Update 21 is installed to play Minecraft with Windows 8.
Useless things, the concept of our minds.
