So I've been playing Minecraft for a while, and for no reason today when I log in and click play online or offline it just. Stops right on the Updating Minecraft/Loading. I have checked Google for any related problems and i wasn't the only one. I have tried everything to stop this from happening it just doesn't work. I downloaded minecraft again and again to see if it would work somehow, well guess what No. I just need someone to please help me anyone I mean anyone that knows how to fix this please tell me. I don't have any mods installed or Texture Packs. Please someone help me I just wanna play minecraft again.
P.S The same thing happens in my browser to.

Does the computer have a firewall?
Mojang uses s3.amazonaws.com to send out it's updates/files, which is counted malicious on most firewalls.
Open an active log on your firewall, and try launching Minecraft. There should be an address from s3.amazonaws.com and something about Minecraft after the / being dropped/blocked.
Then unblock the IP, launch Minecraft/update, then block the IP again.
Do this every time there is an update.
*EDIT: This is if you get the error: Failed to Launch: Fatal error occurred: (4) null
Do you have ANY mods installed? have you edited the Minecraft.jar in ANY way? both of these have been known to cause this error. Also, It may help to look this issue up on google, you may find a good guide to solve this issue.
