Yesterday, I accidentally deleted my whole .minecraft folder, and when I went to click the minecraft.exe to hopefully start anew, it became stuck on the "loading update news" page. It had already been like that for a few days, but I just played offline. However, this time, when I tried to log in, I got this:
Before anyone redirects me to another thread, I have already searched numerous forums and tried various solutions to fix the problem, including playing in browser, disabling my firewall, running a "Java_Fix" program, restarting my internet connection, and deleting anything with minecraft in the name on my computer. Nothing has worked so far. If anyone could please help me, I would greatly appreciate it.
For the grey newspanel, this would be the fix. Yes, I read that you've tried the java_fix executable, but please do the arguments manually. The issue is that Java is defaulting to IPv6, which is characterized by the never loading news. http://www.minecraft...l-in-newspanel/
For the "Login Failed" message, it means that either,
You have entered incorrect login credentials
You have not created their profile name yet
You are logging into a Mojang account that does not contain Minecraft
Please make sure Minecraft is listed under "My Games" on http://account.mojang.com/me. If it is listed, please check if your login credentials are correct, and if you are sure they are, do a password reset.
