The title says it all. In SMP and SSP, Whenever i try to climb, it just wont let me up.

Hmm, yeah I'm getting this problem too in my modpack that I'm creating, (still private until all the bugs worked are out, and, I achieve all the necessary permissions ) I've restarted the game many a time and yet ladders/vines still prove to be "unclimbable." Obviously, I'm not going to force update because it'll completely refresh the minecraft.jar file. Would anyone have any ideas what mod might be causing this issue? If necessary I'll post a full mod list upon request below. Other than that I'm not too concerned because it is a very minor issue. Anyway, lets hope it can be fixed!

Edit: Ok, so I've been doing some extra looking around and research- it appears to be some slight incompatibility issues between Minecraft Forge and Optifine. I'll look into it some more and maybe I'll be able to determine what specifically is causing it.

Another Edit: Btw I'm using Optifine D2. So hopefully if I switch versions this may work

A Third Edit: So after removing Optifine I had again been able to climb ladders. I haven't had this problem before though, so i wouldn't know why specific versions of Optifine would do this and how it has anything to do with climbing ladders or vines. Anyway, I hope in time that this problem can be fixed for you and... well I just realized how late I am posting this as of other people. So maybe I will have been of no use at all but no worries.

There's several threads about this now. It's an optifine issue. Build #735 forge works with optifine.
