hello, i am looking for some one to help me with a small problem i have recently downloaded the minecraft.exe and attempted to run it only to be stopped by the can not connect to minecraft.net problem now i have looked at this page here http://help.mojang.com/customer/portal/articles/542047 but windows says that no such target destination exists for both text and I have the latest version of java it should be noted that the background is not black with html characters thanks for any help.
actually just visited that not too long ago and fond out I am running 32 bit java but have 64 bit system I will get back to you after I have tried installing 64 bit java if tat doesn't work I'll try a java wipe and reinstall with just 64 bit java if that doesn't work then we will have to see.
so the amount of faceplam that has occurred in the last minute or so can not be quantified the problem was of all thing my computer user name Mr.Yo! so problem solved thanks for all the help.

downloaded java x64
downloaded javafix.exe
problem still persists
uninstalled all java
reinstalled just java x64
problem still persists
tried manual ipv4 force
problem still exists but at least windows no longer says invalid target and I get a command prompt window along with the minecraft launcher.
still cant connect to minecraft.net any more help would be very appreciated.
