So I was building a normal 1x2 piston door, but something weird happened: It never opened the way I wanted, so I tried to look what was wrong, and I noticed that when I turned off the redstone, the piston STILL didn't turn off...
But when I destroyed a redstone wire which was NOT connected to anything, the piston turned off. Weird, the wire leads to nothing, yet it apparently "powers" the piston somehow, even if it's not below it. :/
I tried doing it in an alternate way, but the bottom piston won't work...
Pics:
See? Even if it's off, the pistons are still open!
Now, when I destroy the redstone which is NOT connected to anything, it turns off mystically...
I wanted to see if this is a bug or not before I actually report it to the Mojang Bug Tracker
Create an on-off redstone contraption, then connect that to 2 more sticky pistons with blocks on them. The blocks on the sticky pistons need to be 1 block away from the original sticky pistons for the door. (When the new pistons are OFF) Then turn on the on-off contraption, and make sure the blocks on the new sticky pistons touch the original pistons when the new one is ON. This is a block updater.
