Small yet game-breaking issue: the 'use item' button, the one to place blocks and use items, is not working. I hotkey it to 'g' because it's easy to press for me. Everything else is fine, but when I press it, nothing happens. So I can't place blocks, eat food, or other stuff. I've tried switching the hotkey, but it no matter what key I use it does not work. So I can't play Minecraft normally. I run unmodded Minecraft on a Windows 7. Any way to fix this would be appreciated!

Make sure the key you choose isn't being used by another control.
Also, I would just keep it Button 2 (right click) because you use the mouse to look around and hit anyway.

Hmm I've never heard of a bug like this. Report it to the Official Minecraft Issue Tracker (But first search and make sure no one else has reported the same thing.)
