Okay, so I was playing some survival, just coming back to my house after collecting some wood and then the game started to lag. A lot. My screen was stuck on me just looking at the sky, and there was a cow, just floating up high in mid air. I figured it was just the lag that made it look like that, since there were cows on the hill behind it. After a bit, though, the cow just exploded into a massive number of cows. There we cows literally everywhere. I tried to take a screenshot as fast as I could, but It was so laggy that I wouldn't work. This was all I could get.

As you can see, there are a few cows still up in the air. Most of them died from hitting the ground too hard. Anyway, I am in survival mode with cheats turned off, so there was no way for me to make this up, even as unbelievable it sounds. I don't have any mods on either. The last mod I used was "Minecraft Comes Alive" and I got rid of that a while ago. If anyone knows why this happened, anything I can do to prove I'm not lying or how I can get rid of the lag without ruining my world (I's so bad that I can't move) I would be very appreciative. This is really freaking me out and I don't know what to do anymore.

So I managed to make it to the top of the hill, and there is a huge chunk error up there, where the cows started spawning from... And which I'm now stuck in...

Okay, that makes some sense, besides that I've had this world going for awhile. There were a few cows on the hill beforehand, and I was planning on using them to make a farm... So I don't know why more cows should have started to spawn.

Anyways, thank you very much, if it is just a spawn bug, I guess I'm going to have to wait the lag out and hope no more spawn. Thanks again for not telling me I was crazy... ^^;

Alright. I'll try the force update first and then the single player commands if that won't work. Again, thank you so much!

Single Player commands got rid of all the cows, but now my world is just full of chunk errors. I might just have to abandon it. Oh well.

Yep, entity issues is usually related to world corruption or can even cause it if too many entities get stuck in one spot somehow. If your PC is struggling to run minecraft well, I suggest lowering your game settings to try and help performance to avoid world corruption.
