Good day everyone! I've been having this issue with minecraft recently. If i say hold W to walk, then move the mouse, it is very laggy and stuttery. It's not the mouse or keyboard, I've tried different of both. I've tried a fresh install of minecraft with no results. The fps doesn't drop at all. I think its an input problem or something. I play other games on my computer, such as counter-strike, and it's not an issue there, so I'm assuming it's something to do with minecraft. Any help would be great! Thanks!
I've just noticed there is a slight fps drop, but very small. Visually i can't tell, but the game says it drops around 5 frames when i hold a key for over a second or so.
This exact thing happens to me and i have tried everything you all have said (accept new keyboard and mouse because i don't have another mouse and it is a laptop) Minecraft has run with between 30-40 FPS for two years now perfectly fine until a few days ago this begun. The entire game freezes if i hold in a button regardless if i move the mouse and it renders the game unplayable. This also happens on all Technic launcher modpacks and it is VERY annoying. I can't walk so I cant help friends or even do anything. Please help.
I've noticed something that will work until you can find a full fix. If you are holding down, say, "W" so you can walk, as you hold "W," hit any other button on the keyboard and it should work again. At least that works for me. It is a little annoying but it makes it at least playable. Unfortunately you have to do this every time you hold down another button.
Hmm... It hasn't gotten worse for me. I have a feeling it may be one of the settings in the .minecraft folder. I am currently checking it out. The new launcher may help so i can read the log and see if there is an error.
Yea, ive been looking at it everytime i play. Haven't noticed anything yet. Now, in 1.6, It is actually on and off. However, when its happening, its terrible.
Hello again. I have been searching on the web for a while for another solution for this problem. Apparently this problem may not be a Minecraft problem, rather a computer problem. I have found forums with this problem posted for other computer games and even just typing. From what I have gathered, possibly scanning your PC for viruses and deleting any files and programs you don't need/want/use. Please let me know if this works.
If you're playing on a laptop, I have a solution for you. Unplug your charger from the outlet AND your laptop, then completely turn off you laptop, then remove the battery for a few seconds, replace it and voila! This fixed it for me.
Unfortunately this did not work for me. It may be the fact that my laptop did not previously have a battery in it. I did, however , try putting it in after unplugging both sides of the charger but it did not work. To be honest I didn't even try my posted solution but i will.
