So I decided to play the MineCraft demo today to see if I want to purchase the full game, and I do.. until now. I've had the demo for quite some time now and have only played it a few times. When I played it, it ran good, except for the fact that it lagged at some points. So in an attempt to fix this I found this video and followed the directions.
I used the same exact settings as he did as my PC has the same 3 GB of RAM. Once I did that on Java I also edited the settings in-game in order for it to run faster such as lowering the graphics from fancy to fast and a few other things. Initially I entered the code wrong and forgot the first "-" However, I removed that and reentered the right code. I went to play and now it continuously crashes as soon as I start. It loads the terrain and then bam, crash. So I went back and lowered the code to 1 GB, however that did not help so I finally deleted what I did in Java. It still does not work, this is the error message I get. I have also edited the settings to see if it was something I did in-game and it wasn't. I tried to go into the file and delete the MineCraft settings, but I couldn't find it in the MineCraft folder. This is really disappointing.

The crash is caused by invalid entries in the game settings. The file you should delete is called "options.txt". If you cannot find the file, you can just delete the whole Minecraft folder.
