Hi guys i cant see my character for minecraft F5 doesent work i have windows 8 and a toshiba laptop so plz tell me how to see my character thx for the help.

Have you tried ctrl - F5 I've seen some laptops that the F keys only work if you use ctrl. Also what version of minecraft are you running? IE: 1.5.2, etc

It didnt work im using 1.5.2 of minecraft.

Hrm interesting, do your other F keys work like F1, etc?

My F1 works fine.

Do you have a "FN" or function key? If so try holding that and pressing F5 other then that I can't think of any reason it wouldn't work.

Here is a permanent solution:

Boot into the bios using F10 key on startup that is used on most laptops then in the bios screen select the option system configuration. under system configuration you will find something as action mode keys and make it enabled then save the changes and then exit the bios screen. hope the issue will be resolved on restart to unlock get into bios screen and disable action mode keys.
