Absolutely NO Included Drivers for ANY Version of windows has OpenGL Support.
If you say so, but then why did all these these "Bad video card driver" errors only start popping up when people upgraded to windows 8 or got a new computer with windows 8?
Windows 7 (or earlier versions) may not have had "native support" for OpenGL either but seemingly all of the drivers for the graphic cards and chips did because you almost never heard of this problem until Windows 8 came along.

should I take my laptop back and get a windows 7 or just buy windows 7 or just keep my windows 8 and hope for the best?
My new laptop is a Lenovo Yoga. Has a dual core i5 CPU with an imbedded Intel 4000 GPU. With the help of optifine I'm running the game on windows 8. Things a touch screen to boot so imagine all the things that should have gone wrong.
So imagine my wonder when I took the .minecraft folder from my windows 7 computer and copy and pasted it into the roaming bin on my windows 8 computer (ya it took a lot of digging, 8 is such a ), fired up the game and it worked. First time....every time, right out of the box. All I did was download java (32 and 64 bit).
Though I'm not using that lame ass "Metro" crap, just running it off the desktop as a java app.

In the vast majority of these cases the problem can be fixed by updating your graphics driver, all you need to do is to identify your graphics processor correctly and then download the appropriate driver for it. cestislife who posted above is pretty darn smart (for a moderator ) and extremely tech savvy, listen to him and hopefully he will get you patched up and running.

You are unobservant. These errors have popped up many times before Windows 8. The only thing that changed is that this is a new upgrade cycle. Windows 8 drivers for older cards weren't all available when people started upgrading their systems. A whole slew of video cards had their supported ended and so drivers aren't available at all (or you have to try a Win 7 driver). I think that systems that come from manufacturers (like Dell, etc) come with the correct drivers that support Open GL and it's just the upgraders that have the issue.
I think mojang didn't code minecraft to play in minecraft, because when I'm playing in my laptop (the OS is Win8) it's just freezing in the login.
It has nothing to do with that. Minecraft only requires Java and appropriate OpenGL support. You are most likely using Microsoft drivers, or if your card is no longer supported, if Minecraft does not want to work.
do I have to install drivers and all that stuff cus people said that or can I just go into desktop mode and go to Mosander and download
If it says something like "Bad graphics card" then you have to update yr graphics card drivers. If not then no... Just go into Desktop mode and download Minecraft.
Logs? Output-client.txt is a place to start. Also guys, what IS the problem here. It isn't really clear. Minecraft works on Win8, even when hacked up, smashed up, and run through an extremely unstable batchfile. As everyone is saying, Download the launcher, switch to that weird desktop without the Start button, open up the file manager and double click on Minecraft!
P.S Win8 does not come with Java.

I was impressed that 8 did not mess this up.
