Okay so im running a pretty beefy pc. I can play MC w/ Max [email protected] without recording. Even while recording I get upwards of 120FPS. But even though Im recording @ 30FPS with both programs while recording with Dxtory it feels like 15-20FPS. As you can see in the video ill post you cant see the lag in the video but the gameplay just feels awful. With Fraps I still receive high frames but the gameplay feels way smoother. Which is why this is odd since Dxtory is known for smoother gameplay (known by me and countless others). I can even record BF3 Max Settings with Dxtory and the gameplay feels great and smooth but MC is the only game that does this.
If DxTory is using GPU processing, make sure that it isn't using your i7's integrated GPU.
Im not sure how to check that but before seeing this question in Advanced Options in Dxtory "Force CPU Processing" wasnt checked. But even after enabling it so that no GPU is being used to process it still feels the same :l
