I would try to explain but I doubt that a translator would be good with computer stuff. Anyway, I guess I'll try... does it give an error report or anything? And do other servers work?

Okay, I misunderstood your problem a bit, but yes. You will need to either get the curse client or manually put the IP into your minecraft client.
