I've been hosting a LAN world to play with my brothers and all of a sudden I try to log in and for a long period of time it says "Loading World/Building Terrain."

When it finally loads I'm just in a world without any blocks in it and the player just falls down forever. I've looked around for fixes but none of them work so far. Most of them say that the problem is a corrupted world though.

Could I somehow at least re-create the world with all the data (Everything I've mined, everything I've built, etc.) I had? Thank you for helping.

What level of height are you on ?
You can see it in F3.

It starts at about y:68 and will end at y:-1.716 for some reason.

Hm... Still doesn't work.

I'm actually going through the same problem. Everything came back for one day and the next day it happened again and its been like this ever since. Its weird because ever since I updated to 1.5 its been like this. I'm hoping the next update might fix this. If you do have better luck fixing this would please share how you did it?

i see 2-3 maps their was an corrupted chunk 2 or 3 chunks away from the every time returning buildings / landmarks.

Try Mc-Edit and erase some not used chunks near bye.

At the last map i repair it was an chunk, 12 chunks away from the every time regenerating chunk.

I prefer to use Win-Rar to compress u map. (Its the best compressing format)

Give my a little time, at the moment i at work and don't have match time to fix maps.

Load with MC-Edit mark massive chunks wit normal marker tool and remove entities.
Regenerate chunks for new animals.

Region repair just for sure and "bingo" .-)
