When I put downloaded minecraft maps onto the saves folder in %appdata%, it shows up in the folder, but when I open minecraft, its not there.

The problem started a few months ago, and before that, I could play minecraft maps perfectly.

Any help would be appreciated

If they are zipped did you extract them first?

I tried it with terrible results. I gave my wife my glasses for a second, a creeper showed up and now my wife is pregnant.
Stupid 3D..
