Hello there! I need help with a problem ive been having. Every time i try to play ANY form of minecraft (even in browser) it causes my PC (which is a laptop btw) to shut down unexpectedly! i dont know what to do and i really want to be able to play so if anyone could give me some advice it would really help!

P.S i used to be able to play nonstop on this pc but now i cant play longer than 15 minutes...

It's probably your laptop overheating, due to Java being unfortunately resource-intensive.

Sounds like it could be an CPU/GPU overtemp shutdown, your laptop is possibly just trying to save itself.

Have you checked the fan(s) and is it free of dust/hair/fiber buildup inside?

Does your laptop get pretty hot while playing now compared to before ?

Do you have anything blocking the computer's fan?

I had a computer do almost this recently only it was just the graphics card and not the whole thing, like the monitor would say no signal and you'd have to reboot. It was overheating, the thing was all choked up with dust and stuff inside.

so from all the replies iv'e gotten i'd say that its probably my computer overheating because of Java or my fan not being cleaned...
