We installed Minecraft on our older laptop: IBM Thinkpad T42

Whenever we are too active in the game (i.e. doing too many things in succession), the game crashes. Also it sometimes crashes even when we're not doing anything in-game.

1. We would like to transfer the game license to a newer computer to hopefully avoid these technical issues. Is this possible? If so, how do we do it?

2. When the game crashes, a log file is created on our desktop with the name: hs_err_pid****.log where **** is a 4-digit number.

The contents of the file are below. Can anyone tell me what the problem is and how to resolve it?
We've updated the graphics driver on the laptop to the latest version available.

And as mentioned, it isn't a computer that is licensed, but a Premium Minecraft account. You only need to download the launcher from minecraft.net/downloads and log in, then the launcher will download the game files.
