I just upgraded to Linux Mint 15 and when I try to go into full screen it goes black.
I'm running the fglrx-updates driver, version 2:9.012-0ubuntu1. These are just the latest that I can get through the driver manager.
Oh, this version of Mint is based on Ubuntu 13.04. I guess I should try to seach for that unless someone on here knows of a Mint specific fix I can use. . .
I've literally been playing for the last 3 days straight so I haven't even tried to fix it. I just full screen the window. I'll try your steps and see how it goes. I might wait a week or so and give other the chance to upgrade and then I'll go over to the mint forums and see if anyone has a fix there.
