I purchased Minecraft for my son and we cannot get it to work. We have an iMac with OS X 10.6.8 This is the second time I have purchased this game and the second time we cannot get it to work. We have friends with Apple computers who have the game working fine. When we opened Minecraft and was prompted to get the latest update it tries but then we get the following error code: Fatal Error occured (4): /Users/katiemcgrath/library/Application Support/minecraft/bin/minecraft.jar retrieving:lwjgl_util.jar 15%
Does anyone know what this means and what I have to do to fix it? HELP! (and thanks).
That's usually a symptom of a piece of security software blocking the download. It could be web filter (e.g. K9) , an anti-virus program, internet security application, etc.
