I made a texture pack and was using it fine, but then I made a few edits to the clock texture and now I can't select the texture pack in the menu. It shows up, but won't let me change to it. I tried both in 1.5.2 and 13w21b, but neither work.

EDIT: After removing the new clock texture, I can open the texture pack and use it normally. Here are the two clock textures:

EDIT 2: I think I found the problem on my own... the clock file was saved in a weird format.

It may be a compatibility issue

The clock and the compass are touchy to modify because they have a dynamic rotating dial. Back in beta there were 2 or 3 times Notch broke these two items after updates. If I were you I would look for a texturepack that has a style you like and take a look at how they modified it, also look around for tutorials on modifying these or ask in the texturepack discussion forum.
