Recently, my Minecraft world has been glitching since a Windows reinstall. In any chunks that have redstone activity, they flicker like the Optifine flicker glitch (which I confirmed it is not, as I fixed my flicker glitch with Optifine). As such, any chunk with redstone is vastly annoying to be in. Have confirmed that it is not just a save corruption and reinstalling has not helped. I use the latest Magic Launcher, and the only mod I use is Optifine. Also, yes I have the correct version of Java. System Specs if needed:
Windows 7 Ultimate x64
Asus M5A99X Evo Mobo
AMD FX 8350 4.0Ghz 8 core processor
nVidia GeForce GTX 680 Signature II Superclocked+ graphics card
32GB RAM
256GB SSD, 2TB Hard Drive
I seem to have fixed (I say that hesitantly) the problem. I had dedicated 8GB of RAM to Minecraft using the MagicLauncher, but was getting the flashing error with redstone. For some reason if I use the normal launcher, with its default 512MB RAM, it doesn't flash. Still not sure exactly what was causing the problem, as I used 8GB RAM before my Windows reinstall and never had this issue.
Why,Why,Why are you allocating 8GB for minecraft?
Do you have like 100+ Redstone Devices??
OR Are you running a 12,288 x 12,288 texture pack?????
You don't need that much for minecraft!
That much ram can actually cause worse performance because there is a larger volume of space that needs to be looked through when data is being exchanged.

Also, I wish they had a 12,288x texture pack. That would be amazing.

I've heard that before, but I've never had a problem with it up until now.

I tried it with terrible results. I gave my wife my glasses for a second, a creeper showed up and now my wife is pregnant.
Stupid 3D..
