I seem to be having this weird occurance everytime I open the Minecraft client to login. It's just a grey screen with a bunch of code/jibberish on it. I've included an image as well. I wish I could copy and paste the characters but it won't let me. I really can't explain it. :S
I've had this issue too. I'm not quite sure what the cause is, but since it's only the news page, I don't think it really matters all that much.
I went to the news page in my browser (http://mcupdate.tumblr.com/), and after that it appeared to return to normal -- that may just be a coincidence.
