So, its been a while i cant update minecraft since the 1.2.5 .i dont know what may have caused the problem.
I 've tryed many things like forcing update,unistalling and istalling the game,but it keeps failing,it starts to update and a sign appears saying ''Failed to launch''.I've tryed to look for the files in the pictures and i think they dont exist. note:i play on mac

Retired StaffTo do so, run the following command in a terminal:
rm -fr ~/Library/Application\ Support/minecraft/{bin,texturepacks,launcher,resources}Then run the game.
