I've had this issue for a while now and I can't seem to find a solution. My framerate while playing Minecraft is high and stable at 75fps, locked at my refresh rate to avoid screen tearing (That's not ALL I can get, I have a very capable desktop). However, my issue is that my framerate is very stuttery; it happens while moving, looking around, or just standing there doing nothing. I've tried turning vsync off, turning adaptive vsync on in my nvidia control panel, dropping my CPU clockspeed 100MHz to test for an unstable OC, and it's always the same. If I have my F3 menu up and watch my FPS when it stutters, it doesn't change; thus why I noted it's a stable fps, it barely goes under 75 with vsync on. This happens on my modded 1.4.7 FTB client, AS WELL as my vanilla 1.5.2 client, so I'm posting this thread here since it seems like it's Minecraft itself. Happens on both single player and multiplayer, on my own server on my laptop, which suggests to me it's not an issue with loading/generating chunks.
My Minecraft settings:
Graphics: Fancy
Smooth Lighting On/Maximum
Render Distance: Normal
Max FPS/Balanced (tried both, same result)
Advanced OpenGL On (figured it would raise my overhead to eliminate the chance of dropping frames)
Vsync On
Fullscreen (F11)
I'm completely certain my computer is not the issue, as it's a very powerful PC. I can run Bioshock Infinite at 60-70 fps, League of Legends at a very solid 75fps with vsync on (LOTS of overhead, never drops at all), and Battlefield 3 at anywhere between 60-75.
My system specs:
AMD Phenom II x6 1090t @ 4.1GHz
ASUS GeForce GTX 660 @ 980MHz
16GB DDR3 1600MHz
Windows 8 Pro 64-bit
Java 7u21 32-bit
This problem has had me stumped for a while, usually I can figure out my own issues but I have no clue what it is this time. Any help would be appreciated, it's getting extremely annoying.

Retired StaffMight want to remove that, and all other older versions, then grab the 64-bit version instead.
