Ok. I got this error message starting minecraft, as it saying there was an update. Seemed suspicious, so I updated, and got this. I deleted my entire .jar, tried a re-download with Anti-virus uninstalled/removed, and It still says "Update Available!" I also get this monstrosity on FTB aswell. Any advice?
The 'Fatal error occurred (4): null' error usually means filtering or antivirus software is blocking Minecraft from downloading. Even with antivirus software disabled, you may still experience this issue.
What antivirus software do you use, and do you also have a third-party firewall?
All Anti-Virus is removed, With windows firewall (part of windows 7), Which never gave me a problem before. Minecraft just started hating me after our first year.
Note: Tekkit launcher/tekkit works like a charm.
