This is my first time on this forum, i looked everywhere to try to fix this but i cant find anything and hopefully you guys can help me. My friend has a server that me and a few other friends play on, they are building a town and i wanted to help. i dont know anything about computers or even minecraft, so i always downloaded the game to run it, ive been trying to download it, well it does download and asks if i want to run it and i click yes, but nothing happens at all, the log in for minecraft never appears. i even went back to the previous minecraft downloads but those dont work either. Ive tried everything i know how to do but nothing works and im not sure what the problem is, if it helps at all which i doubt, i have a windows vista, thats pretty much all i know

i looked into it more, somebody said see if javae.exe is running under processes in task manager, it wasnt so i tried to run it again and javae.exe showed up and disappeared within a second
