As I am playing minecraft, the game randomly starts lagging horribly for seemingly no reason. Sometimes as im flying, sometimes as im walking, sometimes when im just standing there. The problem persists until I restart minecraft.

I have had the problem in single player and multiplayer

I have tried restarting my computer

I have tried reinstalling minecraft

I have tried updating java

I have tried updating nvidia drivers

I do not have any problem in any other game.

I'm having this same issue. Its like a giant FPS spike that won't go away until you start. Everything freezes and every 10seconds or so you will move forward a frame and it will freeze again. Makes me very sad because I finally picked the game up again and now its unplayable

Fixed mine actually. I recently reformated and forgot to install 64bit java. Once I did that I've been playing for awhile now with no problem at all.

I have a similar problem, only my doesn't lag like normal, i start moving really slow like on soul sand, but its everywhere i walk, on every world, every server.
