I just updated to 13w21a yesterday and after about 3-4 minutes of playing, the sound cuts out completely, making me go back out to the launcher (I'm using the dev launcher) and restart the game.

I would try updating LWJGL, but I won't because the new launcher doesn't use the same system for loading the game as the old launcher, and the LWJGL files won't do anything.
EDIT: Copied the 13w21a.jar from \versions\13w21a\, renamed it minecraft.jar and put it in \bin\ and put all the latest LWJGL files in the correct places, launched with the regular launcher and the game sticks at "Done loading...".
EDIT: Just for count, this has gotten me killed 6 times now. 2 by lava, 1 by creeper, 1 by skeleton, and 2 by ghast.

EDIT: Copied the 13w21a.jar from \versions\13w21a\, renamed it minecraft.jar and put it in \bin\ and put all the latest LWJGL files in the correct places, launched with the regular launcher and the game sticks at "Done loading...".
EDIT: Just for count, this has gotten me killed 6 times now. 2 by lava, 1 by creeper, 1 by skeleton, and 2 by ghast.
