Fatal error (4): null usually occurs when a security software, even when deactivated, is interfering with the client's ability to connect to the login servers. What antivirus do you have installed?

I just tried to play minecraft in browser just to see if it would work. When I did it gave me the same error. Could this mean that it is a problem with the new version of Java? Help is greatly appreciated.
I have fixed the problem. all I did was update the LWJGL manually and it worked fine. Thanks for all the help. I hope others with the same problem can use this to help.

But if i say no then it says it is updating but the bar stops short of the end and above it it says done loading.
i have tried un/re-installing both mc and java but to no avail.
any help would be greatly apreciated
