Apparently my internet likes to go down (only on my computer, but not on others, like my sister's or my phone. Just my computer.) It crashes completely when I try to get some multiplayer servers (It crashes on the Hive, but not on Skitscape.) . I can't load anything after trying to get on the server. Nothing. Not even YouTube or something. When that happens I have to restart my internet and try again. And half the time. it doesn't work. (Or 99/100)
Its running OS X Lion 10.8.2.
Yes, I know this is supposed to be in the server support section, but it's not getting any exposure there, and I need my problem to be fixed fast. It's hindering my enjoyment with this game. I can't get on the hive server to play with my friends when I want to. The error is *internal exception: java.netSocketTimeoutException: Read timed out.
I apologize for anything that this thread may cause due to the wrong placement, but I need help quick. I posted in the server support, but no one helped me. It simply sat there doing nothing.

That is because your problem has nothing to do with running a server or customizing one.
Your problem is with your computer itself or with your minecraft client program. Your post should be in unmodified client support if you are not using mods or in modded client support if you are using mods.
I wish I could be of more assistance but I know practically zilch about Macs, sorry.
