So I have my newish computer that i upgraded from my crappy toshiba satellite, but even though with 6 gigs of ram and an i3 processor its having the most horrible time running MC with a 32x texture pack when the other one could do it just fine... so i went to allocate some memory on it seemed pretty easy till it didn't work, and didn't stop not working. heres what i am using:
javaw -Xmx4096m -Xms2048m -jar "minecraft.exe"
the error i keep getting is the "ERROR: invalid or corrupt jar file"
i have both 32 bit and 64 bit java installed (if i uninstall the 32-bit MC doesn't launch at all)
i've done so many things to try and make it work from the internet but to no avail i am at a loss.
SO! hopefully someone here will help me, cause i really want to make this work!

also im running windows 8 if that matters in the slightest.
