Minecraft Black Screen In Linux

I have minecraft in ubuntu 13.04 and lastly I got the BSOD (Black Screen Of Death) in minecraft. It was all working fine till I made the update to 1.5.2 ( I had 1.5.1) Eversince the update Ive been getting the black screen. I have had it before so I did the most common thing to do when this happens, Delete bin or .minecraft and Force Update on minecraft again but this does not work Can anyone help?

delete your .minecraft folder or reinstall java

i have same problem, i tried deleting .minecraft, and that did not work. any help here? i am running ubuntu 13.04

It sounds like you could both be having issues with your LWJGL, try updating it. Instructions can be found in this thread.
