I play minecraft on my macbook pro. I like to play on the snapshots so I'm forced to use the new launcher. The issue is with the new launcher I can't use control click as a right click method. I don't know if this is a known bug or if there is a known fix for this, but control click is my primary way of right clicking so it's very annoying to not have it.

Wow yea that's great, they have the issue marked as resolved, even though it isn't. Telling me to go buy a mouse, because ctr+click is an "ancient" way of using my mac, is not a resolution. I don't mean to sound angry, I'm just afraid they are going to let this lay because technically it's a problem with LWJGL, not Minecraft. So this is me making noise about it.
It's not that I'm used to ctr+click and can't change, it's that two finger clicks on the track pad are unreliable when you do it ten thousand times in a minute. Which is why Macs still do ctr+click.
No, no, Grum just recently marked it as resolved for 1.6.2 (which isn't out yet). He implemented a hack to make Minecraft resume interpreting Control-click as right-click on Mac (moving Control to Command for the hard-coded Control-clicks that were in the game). He did this despite insisting it was LWJGL's responsibility to cover (probably because enough of us badgered him into fixing it sooner -- and sloppily -- rather than later).
You should read the recent comments in the bug tracker post before reacting. Also, "this is me making noise about it" equates to "this is me doing nothing about it." Your feedback actually reaches Mojang in the form of a vote on the bug tracker page (er, though I'm not sure if you can vote on a resolved issue), and barring that, a comment in the bug tracker thread.
