I was building on my world the other day and as I was finishing the outline of a theater I was building the game crashed. When I came back in many of the blocks I placed last were invisible and glitchy when I went to it. I also lose blocks over a pond I filled in and the water shows back up. The blocks change when I load the game to which are visible or not.
I also noticed a world hole about 3 chunks west and 1 south of the area having the issues, it was behind the wall so I did not notice it at first.
Any idea's as to what is going on and how to fix it? I have been playing in the world since version 1.3, am at 1.5.2 now, so there are a lot of structures built. I do have a back up from the 9th I think as long as it is not corrupted too, but I have done a lot of work since then, part of it was tearing out an npc village which I really do not want to have to do again :/
Thanks in advance for any ideas of what is going on and how to fix it.
Corrupted chunk perhaps, usually happens when the game was not closed properly.
If your world got corrupted you can try to repair it with MCEdit. Open the offending world in MCEdit, press 'ctrl-i' and select 'Repair regions' in the dialogue which pops up. Once this has completed, save your world and exit MCEdit.
To download MCEdit, go to http://www.mcedit.net/ and choose the version appropriate for your OS.

I did that but when I click ctrl + i it gives me a box about the world, (the day, time of day, game mode seed and such) but I do not see a "Repair regions" I could me missing something simple, I have not ever messed with mcedit before.
edit: Never mind I go it I was using mcedit 0.1.6 and found a bug where the missing regions button was missing, I used the 1.7 pre release build and it ran...now hopefully that fixed it
